Founder of Mezzo films and Brawl agency. Over 30 years experience in film and TV. Non-executive director at MYOM Oat Milk. Youth development lead on the Prince’s Trust enterprise program. UK.
I started and ran the Music, TV and content production company, Mezzo Films, 36 years ago. Mezzo became one of the norths leading independent Production Companies producing branded content and TV commercials for national and international companies such as Apple, ASDA, Halfords, British Gas, Costcutter, 888, Beaverbrookes, Iceland, William Hill, CAT, Nike, Virgin to name but a few. In 2015 the company re-branded to become Brawl Agency. www.brawlagency.com with a shift of focus to being more content strategy lead. A natural progression for the business. For most of that time my role within the business was as a Film and TV Director as well as Producer and Executive Producer. Since starting my own business I have worked on fully integrated on-line campaigns in most commercial sectors for many years. In the early days producing info-mercials, and ‘how to’ films, to creating TV commercials, Memes and VOD’s. Throughout my whole career I took steps to lead with technology and push boundaries of unchartered territory. From being the first production company in the UK to opt for a non-linear editing suite in the late 1980’s, to being the first independent facility outside of London to install and Full HD edit suite in the 1990’s. I continued to move the business forward through technology to delivery content for our clients and their audiences. I developed Business TV networks for ASDA, IKEA and British Gas delivering a schedule of content to their stores, colleagues, and their customers. We pioneered content delivery in the public sector too. For the NHS we developed distance learning platforms when connectively through our product Training POD, a distant learning solution delivering service-critical content and training.
